Stone and debris nets are fitted against or in front of a facade and hold back loose tiles, stones, facade elements and gravel. They protect passers-by, vehicles and property, for example as an emergency measure after damage or during renovation. LGA Netting installs the nets to fit the building, keeping them as unobtrusive as possible.

Prevent injury and damage

Loose tiles, facade elements or stones are a major risk to passers-by, vehicles and property. A debris net catches them before they land on the pavement, the street or a car park.

Benefits

  • Unobtrusive

The net is placed so the appearance of the building changes as little as possible.

  • Protection

Prevent damage to vehicles and property and protect passers-by.

  • Inspection

Thanks to the open net, the facade stays visible for inspection.

Applications

Facade nets and debris nets are used for purposes including:

  • As an emergency measure for loose tiles or facade elements.
  • During renovation, to keep the public area safe.
  • Against falling gravel or stones along walls and embankments.
  • On curved facades and unusual shapes.

Made to fit building and facade

Our debris nets are made of strong polypropylene or polyethylene and available in various strengths and mesh sizes, to suit what needs to be held back.

We install the nets to the requirements of your building or structure, with attention to its architectural features and appearance.

Used in

What determines the price?

Every project is bespoke, so we work with a quote. These factors determine the price:

  • Dimensions: the number of square metres of net, or the number of racking bays or linear metres.
  • Working height and access: whether a cherry picker or scaffolding is needed.
  • Type of net: strength, mesh size, twine thickness and colour.
  • Fixing: to racking, a steel structure, concrete or a facade, with steel cables, posts or a tube frame.
  • Extras such as collision protection, passageways or removable sections.
  • Scheduling: installation during business hours, outside business hours or in phases.

Frequently asked questions

How quickly can a debris net be installed?

In case of acute danger, such as loose tiles above a footpath, speed matters. Call us straight away, so we can assess what is needed and when we can install. How quickly that is possible depends on the size, the height and the accessibility of the facade, and on our schedule.

Does a debris net stay visible on the facade?

A net is always somewhat visible, but we keep that to a minimum. We choose a colour and mesh size that suit the facade and tension the net tightly along the shape of the building, including on curved facades. From a distance the net is barely noticeable, while it still holds back tiles and stones.

Is a debris net temporary or permanent?

Both happen. Often it is a temporary measure until the facade is repaired, or protection during renovation. On facades where repair is difficult, a net can also stay in place for longer. We match the material and the fixing to the period the net needs to stay and to the load it must bear.

Do you also work for property managers and contractors?

Yes. Debris nets are often requested by property owners, managers and contractors, for example for buildings along public roads. Among other projects, we have installed nets to keep the public area safe at Rotterdam Centraal station and during a renovation in Antwerp. Get in touch for advice on your situation.
